AWS CLOUD ADMINISTRATOR
LOCATION: CHENNAI
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Administrator to join our team and play a key role in managing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. The Ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services and technologies with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in cloud administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cloud Administrator or similar role, with a focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed cloud environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, and maintain AWS cloud resources including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, VPCs, and other services as required.
- Monitor the performance, availability, and security of AWS infrastructure using monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, AWS Config, and third-party solutions.
- Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across AWS environments, including IAM policies, encryption, and network security controls.
- Manage and automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, performance, and security incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and security engineers to support application deployment and maintenance in AWS.
- Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Stay updated on new AWS services, features, and best practices, and provide recommendations for optimizing and improving cloud infrastructure.
- Document processes, procedures, and configurations related to AWS environments, and provide training and support to other team members as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents outside of regular business hours as required.
