Full Stack Development

We are seeking a motivated MERN Full Stack Developer to join our team at Akra Tech Pvt Ltd, Chennai. In this role, you will develop and maintain modern web applications using the MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js (MERN) stack. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable front-end interfaces and reliable back-end services, ensuring strong performance, security, and user experience across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack.

• Build responsive and high-performance user interfaces using React.js, Next.js, and modern UI frameworks.

• Develop reusable components and maintain scalable front-end architecture.

• Create secure and efficient RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express.js.

• Integrate and manage databases including MongoDB and Supabase, ensuring optimal schema design and performance optimization.

• Implement advanced Next.js capabilities such as App Router, Server Components, and API Routes.

• Develop responsive UI components using Tailwind CSS, converting Figma designs into production-ready interfaces.

• Implement authentication systems, OAuth flows, webhooks, and third-party API integrations.

• Work with TypeScript (Strict Mode) to build type-safe APIs and scalable codebases.

• Manage real-time functionality using Supabase Realtime subscriptions and Edge Functions.

• Build and maintain background job processing systems using Redis or BullMQ queues.

• Develop advanced UI experiences such as complex drag-and-drop workflows using tools like React Flow.

• Implement semantic search and embeddings using pgvector where required.

• Build and maintain multi-channel messaging systems for communication workflows.

• Write clear and structured documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.

• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum development environments with designers, product teams, and developers.

• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization to maintain high code quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

• 1–3 years of experience in Full Stack Development using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.

• Strong expertise in both Front-End and Back-End Development.

• Solid understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Responsive Web Design.

• Experience with Next.js, Supabase, Tailwind CSS, and External API Integrations.

• Familiarity with development tools such as Git, GitHub, Redis, Postman, and modern build tools.

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and clear technical documentation.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset.

• Certification in Full Stack Development is an added advantage.
